In Memory of the Master: Anniversary of the Parinirvana of Yongdzin Rinpoche
Lamas résidents de Shenten
12 June 2026
According to tradition, this anniversary is a precious occasion to remember Yongdzin Rinpoche and his boundless kindness, to contemplate his teachings, and to connect with his awakened presence through devotion and practice. With gratitude and an open heart, we invite you to gather with us to honor the life and spiritual legacy of Rinpoche.
On June 12th 2026, Shenten Dargye Ling will gather to commemorate the first anniversary of the parinirvana of Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche.
According to tradition, this anniversary is a precious opportunity to remember His immense kindness, reflect on His teachings, and (re)connect with His enlightened Presence through devotion and practice. With gratitude and open hearts, we invite you to come together to honor Rinpoche's life and legacy.
We warmly welcome all practitioners, especially long-time students of Rinpoche, to join us for a memorable day of practice together at Shenten Dargye Ling or online.
The programme runs throughout the day, from an early-morning practice through to an evening ceremony, alternating practice, devotional offerings, and quiet reflection. See the detailed schedule for exact timings.
The day will include:
• Early morning (7:00 – 8:30): Sangchöd and meditation
• Morning (10:00 – 12:00): practice of the Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyud preliminaries, followed by meditation
• Afternoon (14:30 – 17:00): Drenpa Namkha Tsok (Ganapuja, Drenpa Namkha or Lishu Tagring), collective homage with offerings (including khatag), Guru Yoga and group meditation, and screening of a recorded teaching by Rinpoche
• Evening (19:30 – 21:00): Lama Chöpa and butter lamp offering, followed by meditation and Chöd
Rinpoche's stupa will be present as a support for devotion, and a dedicated space will be arranged with images, pictures, recordings, and a quiet atmosphere for reflection.
We are making every effort to ensure that the event can be followed online, so that the sangha and other communities can participate as well.
Please note that this event takes place on June 12, as this was the date according to the Western calendar. At Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu and other Yungdrung Bön monasteries in Tibet, India, and Nepal, ceremonies will be held according to the Tibetan lunar calendar. The Tibetan calendar date falls on June 1. On that day, no special event will be held in Shenten, but we recommend that you also connect with Rinpoche through your practice.
