By road

at the exit of Paris: take the A10 motorway towards Chartres
then continue on the A11 motorway in the direction of Nantes - Angers
Just before Angers take the A85 motorway towards Saumur.
Take exit 2 toward Longué, Jumelle
Go to Longué and follow the signs to Blou.

in detail:

• continue on : D938 on 1.8 km

• turn left: N147 for 1.8 km

• turn left: Route De Blou/D53 for 250 m

• continue on : D53 on 1 km

• turn right: D206 for 2 km

 

Before arriving in Blou, you will see on the right a small castle next to a large sequoia, it is there. Park in the car park.

By train

The nearest train station is in Saumur (15 km).

There are numerous connections with Paris, either by Angers (TGV+TER) or Tours (TGV or Corail +TER).

Journeys by TGV take between 1h40 and 2h30.

Don't get the wrong station: the TGV trains leave from Paris-Montparnasse.
NB: there is a direct TGV Paris-Montparnasse/ Saumur every day, check the timetable at the station.

​

Corail journeys are longer (about 3 hours), but are cheaper.
Don't take the wrong station: Corail de¨Paris-Austerlitz".

​

Taxis cost around 30 euros to drive from Saumur station to Blou.

 

By bus

There is a bus line in the ANJOUBUS network which passes at the SNCF railway station of Saumur and goes through the village of Blou.
