Shine practice in Paris
Pönlop Tsangpa Tenzin Rinpoche
5-6 July
Pönlop Tsangpa Tenzin Rinpoche will teach on shine practice (literally « abiding peacefully », also known as shamata in Sanskrit) according to the texts of the Athri and the Yethri Thasel. The Athri, one of the most important dzogchen teachings of the bön tradition, mentions two types of shine meditation: tshänchä, which consists in fixing one's mind on a substantial object, and tshänmed, which is to abide in an equal and objectless state of meditation.
Pönlop Tsangpa Tenzin Rinpoche is the head teacher of The Bön Dialectic School of Triten Norbutse Monastery, and he is also very appreciated by the western students for his cheerful and simple way of explaining complex topics. We are delighted that he’s coming to teach us in Paris.
The teaching will be translated from Tibetan to English and from English to French. It is aimed at both long-time practitioners and beginners.
