Drubdra Khenpo is the abbot of the meditation school in Triten Norbutse Monastery. He is widely respected for his skill in meditation, ritual expertise and teaching capability.

We are pleased to announce Drubdra Khenpo has accepted to start teaching a dzogchen text that so far has not been taught in western countries, the Kunzang A Sal Nyamlen Hga Kor or The Five Practices of the Clear A of Kuntu Zangpo.

The intention is for Drubdra Khenpo to continue transmitting this text in the coming years.

Practice of the Limitless Aspirational Prayer to the Buddhas (Dersheg Monlam Thaye) to celebrate the birthday of Tonpa Shenrab

The celebration of the birthday of Buddha Tonpa Shenrab Miwoche, founder of the precious Yungdrung Bön tradition, is one of the most important ceremonies around the time of the Tibetan New Year. Blessings are manifold and multiplied during this holy occasion. The community at Shenten will make the preparations and share the process on Facebook. We will also upload a report and photos to the website. On 06 February, we will perform the practice of the Limitless Aspirational Prayer to the Buddhas (Dersheg Monlam Thaye) as a ceremony for auspiciousness and the well-being of our friends, families, and the world at large.

Practice of Sherab Djamma to celebrate Tibetan New Year.

As a celebration of Losar, the Tibetan New Year, the community in Shenten will perform the Gutor ritual to purify negativities collected throughout the previous year. The ceremony is based on the practice of the Loving Wisdom Goddess, Sherab Chamma.

Limit of 10 participants accommodated (all in the pavilion), but no limit of participants in the temple.
The primary Dzogchen cycles and 'The Mother Tantra' all include physical exercises like 'yoga' practices – Trulkhor, “magical movements” or “delusion-reversing movements”.

The Ngöndro teachings are the fundamental base for any meditation practice according to the Yungdrung Bön tradition. They serve as an introduction to the Dzogchen teachings and support the practitioners on their spiritual path. This seminar will follow the Atri Ngöndro text and focus on the explanations of self-awareness.

Dzogchen practice and teaching retreat

We are delighted that Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche has accepted to continue with his transmission and explanations of the Dzogchen teachings based on the 'The Golden Instructions of Drenpa Namkha' (Drenpa Serdam). The cycle is a compilation of several Dzogchen texts and teachings that Kuntu Zangpo directly transmitted to the great master Drenpa Namkha.

Chülen, literally translated, means “taking the essence”. “Essence” refers to the body constituents as the Chülen practice is based on how Traditional Tibetan Medicine sees the human body. During this retreat, the participants will reduce their food intake and learn to live on the essence of the elements. It is a combination of inner and outer practice based on the interdependence of our external and internal conditions.

This is a multi-year programme with an intensive approach to a comprehensive understanding of Yungrung Bön philosophy. The group will continue with the same topic, the Salam.

Teaching on and practice of ‘The Mother tantra’
with Lama Sangye Mönlam
'The Mother Tantra' (Magyud) is one of the primary practices of our beloved root master Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. It is a key text in the Yungdrung Bön tradition, and many core ideas and practices are based on this text. It includes the six practices of the 'inner fire' and the practices of body offering, consciousness transference, dream yoga, sleep yoga, and intermediate state.

We are happy to announce that Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche has accepted to teach ‘The Eight Chapters’, during the summer retreat.

‘The Eight Chapters’ constitutes the secret cycle of Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyu. This cycle emphasizes the visionary aspect of Dzogchen practice.

People are invited to either participate for the whole retreat or for one or two weeks.

Khenchen will lead the Dzogchen meditation retreat and give teachings to support our meditation.

Note that this year the Dzogchen meditation retreat will start on Saturday (rather than Sunday) and two weeks (rather than one week) after the summer retreat

The last two days will be reserved for the initiation of Lishu Tagring.

Initiation of Lishu Tagring

We are delighted that Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche has accepted to grant the initiation of Lishu Tagring. It will be the first time that Khenchen Rinpoche gives an initiation with an extensive ceremony at Shenten Dargye Ling and the day of the initiation is auspicious as it will be both full moon day and the soul-day of Yongdzin Rinpoche.

This initiation is required for participants of the Meditation School (Gomdra) and is open to all Sangha members. It is planned as a grand ceremony, with the preparation on 30 August and the actual initiation on 31 August.
