Teaching on the Practice of Sherab Djamma
Geshe Lungrig Namdag
Week-end of the 26 and 27 of February
26 to 27 February 2022
Sherab Chamma, the Loving Mother of Wisdom
Teaching and practice with Geshe Lungrig Namdak
Sherab Chamma (ཤེས་རབ་བྱམས་མ། Wylie: shes rab byams ma), the Loving Mother of Wisdom, is one of the female Buddhas of the Yungdrung Bön tradition and has various attributes and qualities. In Shenten Dargye Ling, it is tradition to perform the Sherab Chamma practice and rituals every year before the Tibetan New Year – just like it is the tradition in Tibetan families to host yearly ceremonies for the family deities.
Geshe Lungrig Namdak will introduce the meditation and visualisation practice of Sherab Chamma. He will also explain how to recite the respective mantras and talk about the benefit of these practices.
This event is suitable for all practitioners of Yungdrung Bön and maintains an important tradition of the Sangha. We also invite all interested persons new to Yungdrung Bön as Geshe Lungrig Namdak will give introductory explanations on various aspects.
We will keep the usual format of our online teachings: two hours of instruction per day combined with ritual and meditation sessions in the morning and evening.
